R5-M2 was an astromech droid who served the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. When the Alliance lost a battle to the Empire on the planet Hoth, R5-M2 helped evacuate Rebel personnel from Echo Base. The droid had black, blue and white plating.
