R2-A5 (Artoo-Ayfive) was a white-and-green R2-series astromech droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton.

Ayfive was programmed for combat communications, and was used to acquire targeting data for starfighters and gunnery systems. Ayfive was present in the streets of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine during the year 0 BBY.[1]

Behind the scenes

R2-A5 was replaced in the Special Edition version of the movie by a computer-animated ronto.
