Elfour's gone.
— Kyp Durron to Han Solo following the rout at Helska IV, The New Jedi Order: Vector Prime
During the Dozen-and-Two's investigation above Helska IV in 25 ABY, all pilots but Kyp and Miko Reglia, who escaped to the planet's surface, were killed by the Yuuzhan Vong, and R5-L4 was destroyed by a grutchin.
Durron was incredibly saddened by the loss of the droid, whom he had come to appreciate as a true friend.[1]
