The R-series originally began with the P2-series astromech droid, which was sold exclusively to the Republic merchant fleet.


BB Series

The BB-series, also known as the BB unit, was a model of astromech droid active during the era of the Cold war, featuring a spherical body that allowed the droid to roll in any direction, with a head usually atop the body but not meant to be permanently physically attached to it (which would inhibit the droid's ability to roll around).


C Series

The C-series was a line of astromech droid employed as mechanics or co-pilots on starships of all sizes. By the time of the Galactic Empire's reign, they were outdated by most standards. One model within the line was the C1-series astromech droid.
