R3-T3 was a astromech droid serving the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. He was tasked with infiltrating the Separatist base during the Third Battle of Felucia. His cover was blown, so he escaped into the wilderness, leaving a oil trail behind him. A Jedi Knight was tasked by clone commando RC-1138 with retrieving his intel.
