'''R3-Y2''' was a yellow-orange trimmed [[R3-series astromech droid/Legends|R3-series astromech droid]] who served the [[Alliance to Restore the Republic/Legends|Rebel Alliance]] in its command center on the [[Planet/Legends|planet]] [[Hoth/Legends|Hoth]].  R3-Y2 is part of the R3 series of astromechs and sports a clear dome. It has the same markings as [[R3-A2/Legends|R3-A2]], who also worked at the [[Echo Base/Legends|Echo Base]]. In [[3 ABY/Legends|3 ABY]], R3-Y2 was present in the command center when [[Captain/Legends|Captain]] [[Han Solo/Legends|Han Solo]] reported destroying what turned out to be an [[Galactic Empire/Legends|Imperial]] [[Viper probe droid/Legends|Viper probe droid]]. The [[Astromech droid/Legends|astromech droid]] later on assisted in evacuating the base during the [[Battle of Hoth/Legends|Battle of Hoth]].
